For various French editions, see Caillet 3811. – Famous text on erotic art in classical antiquity after the discoveries of Pompeii and Heraculaneum, containing a wealth of material on the cults of Bacchus, Priapus a.o. – Binding slightly rubbed and slightly stained. Leather corners cleanly restored. Paper minimally stained in places, the hand-colored plates are carefully and neatly executed in beautiful colors. A good copy.
